In this section you can find some definitions of the terms used in the tool. You can send suggestions for new entries, through the ‘contact’ area.
A
Special code 'additional amounts': the fraction ‘additional amounts’ refers to additives that are added during the treatment process (e.g. water, chemical processes), this may result in a higher total output weight than the input weight. The weight of the additional amounts should not be considered in the calculation. When adding this code, the weight associated with it will not count towards the input nor towards the total output weight
Author: the author of a report is the organisation that creates the report. The author will have access to the report and will be able to share the report with a recipient. The role of the author is automatically assigned by the tool. The author of the report appears in one of the columns of the Treatment Reports area and in the Report Details (button on top right corner of Graph, Overview, Calculation and Analyse areas).

Downstream acceptor: a facility that will accept and treat the fractions arising from the first and subsequent treatment steps (e.g. cable treatment facility)
F
First treatment partner: is the e-waste operator that receives the input material in scope of the report and performs at least the first treatment steps that will generate the first output fractions.
I
Input fraction: is the e-waste in scope of the report. The e-waste that is processed and represented in the mass flow diagram of the report.
L
Special code 'losses': this code refers to losses of input weight during treatment of WEEE like e.g. dust, fines etc. It is recommended to classify the final use according to the 'worst case' scenario (i.e. landfill disposal or thermal disposal, like other residues from treatment). The 'option to deduct' this fraction is to be agreed with the recipient of the report. In case of a batch test, when losses are > 5 % of the input material, it is recommended to repeat the batch and/or other determination of results.
P
Package: part of a report that may be reused into other reports by using the ‘package’ feature. Premium users can create their own packages and even share them with reporters The WEEE Forum administrator may create packages as well and make them available for all users of the tool. Whenever possible the use of packages should be avoided and the use of information that represents the real management of the e-waste should be privileged.

Recipient: it is the company that will receive the report, the author of the report can be the recipient or a second company that will have access to the report, be able to comment, set rules for reporting (requirements) and change the status of the report. Only premium users can be recipients.
U
Users: Are all the individuals that have access to an organisation's WF-RepTool account. To grant/remove access to other persons within your organisation go to the Management/Users area. Please note that persons working for other legal or natural persons working for your company or hiring your company (e.g. treatment operators, auditors, PROs etc) should have their own license, and be invited to connect with you for collaboration through the ‘management/connections’ area.
